Exclusive: Chelsea Settles Speaks With FWO [Part 1]
Chelsea Settles captured the hearts of many, when her reality series aired on MTV, late last year. And, unlike your typical reality series, this show became a source of inspiration, as it showcased her struggles with weight loss and dreams of pursuing a career in fashion out in Los Angeles.
Recently, I had the pleasure of speaking to this amazing young woman in a detailed interview, where we spoke about everything from her new life in L.A., modeling, her weight loss journey, obsession with Kim Kardashian and more. Here is part 1 of the interview down below!
FWO: How’s everything out in L.A.?
Chelsea Settles: Everything is good. It feels different this time around. Upon my arrival (because I was back in Pennsylvania around the holiday season), I never realized how much I missed it out here. I was taken back to that place last year when I first moved, was scared, didn’t know anyone, and now it feels like, I’m home again. I love it here and I’m glad to be back out of the cold.
FWO: With that being said, does Pennsylvania feel like home anymore?
Chelsea Settles: I live an hour outside of Pittsburgh, so my home is always going to feel like home to me. But, I guess I have two homes now. An east coast and a west coast family, and it feels good to take chances and know that you can come out on the other side. Since I’ve always been so afraid, I felt really trapped and in a bubble, and it’s good to have the opportunity to experience something different.
FWO: One of your biggest dreams and hopes for L.A. was to be out on the party scene, how is that going?
Chelsea Settles: You know, it’s so weird. I thought after the weight loss I would transform into this vixen and that I would want to go out and have a good time, but I rarely go out. I’m still a homebody and I love to read. I go out occasionally, but that’s just not my personality. So, even though my body has changed over time, I’m still that same girl and I’m thankful for that.
FWO: So, where are you going in all those sexy outfits you tweet in photos on Twitter?
Chelsea Settles: [Laughs] No, those are just pictures. I love taking photos and sometimes I love putting together little outfits, and I’m not even going anywhere. [laughs].
FWO: With your passion for taking photos, have you considered modeling?
Chelsea Settles: I’m not opposed to it. But, I’m just taking things one day at a time. I don’t want to stress myself out. It’s hard not to, but yeah we’ll see what happens with that.
